INFORMATION, SAFETY and ADVICE DAY
Older people in Pontardawe and the surrounding area are invited to come along to the Pontardawe Senior Citizens Hall and have a cake, cuppa and a chat as well as obtaining some valuable information and advice.
On Tuesday 28th of October 2008 at the Senior Citizens hall in Riverside, Ynysderw Road, Pontardawe (10am to 3pm) Age Concern NPT staff, volunteers and various partners will be on hand to provide useful advice in an informal setting.
Benefits advice, free electric blanket testing, energy efficiency advice, free energy efficient light bulbs, Community Safety advice, Fire Safety and Housing Services are just some of the things that will be available. Or if you just want to pop in for a chat and a cuppa, that’s fine too!

Consumer to bring their old electric blanket to be checked. Special offer voucher of up to 50% off Morphy Richards blankets in association with G.E.M.S. Ltd, if blanket found to be unsafe.

Merger of Age Concern and Help the Aged.
Many of you will be aware that Age Concern and Help the Aged have announced their intention to merge the two organisations, and you may be wondering what this means for our charity in Neath Port Talbot.
The proposed merger only involves the nation Age Concern organisations in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. These four nations will merge with Help the Aged on 1st April 2009 to create four new charities in each of those nations.
